William Thomas King

     William Thomas King, age 83 of Eldorado, passed away at 11:44 PM, Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg, Illinois.

     William was born on December 22, 1938 in Martin, Tennessee to the late William Harris and Mercedes (Olds) King.  On July 29, 1958 he married Carole Adams and she preceded him in death on December 21, 2012. William was a drywall finisher by trade and the owner of King Construction. He was a good father to his boys.

     William is survived by his sons Kevin William King and wife Michele of Eldorado; and Thomas Joe King of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Tabitha Jo Mitchell and husband Darren of Harrisburg; Melissa LaDawn Schulz and husband Jeremy of Newburgh, Indiana; Tristan Monroe and wife Ashley of Harrisburg; and Shayna Monroe of Eldorado; nine great-grandchildren, Sophia and Chloe Schulz of Newburgh, Indiana; Katie, Jake and Jaycee Mitchell of Harrisburg; Easton Monroe of Evansville, Indiana; Keighan and Nevaeh Monroe and Jace King of Eldorado; three brothers, Joe King of Michigan; Dale King of Tennessee; and Neal King of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his wife, Carol, and his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister Karen Ann Radford.

     Funeral services for William Thomas King will be held at 1 PM, Monday, September 26, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home formerly Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Aaron Phelps will officiate; and burial will follow at 11 AM, Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in West Union Cemetery in Dresden, Tennessee. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg.
