Wanda Christine (Pyles) Dudley

    Wanda Christine Dudley, age 85, of Harrisburg, passed away at 4:35 PM, Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her residence, surrounded by her family.
    Wanda was born on November 5, 1936 in Harrisburg to the late George and Chloe (Dowdy) Pyles.  She married James Dudley on December 24, 1955 and enjoyed 66 years of marriage. James survives in Harrisburg.  Wanda was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a member of the WMU. She loved to crochet, bowl and fish. Wanda’s son said that she was the best mother in the world. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Everyone who knew Wanda loved her and she loved everyone in return.

     Wanda is survived by her husband, James Dudley of Harrisburg; son, Jimmie L. Dudley of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Meshia Reed of Herrin; James Dudley of Harrisburg; JayCee Bean and husband, Shawn of Eldorado; Sherrie Frailey and husband, Richard of Harrisburg; great grandchildren, Mariah Trail, Ryan Williams, Hunter Frailey, Noah Frailey, Sydnie Frailey, Hailee Bean;  great great grandson, Jericho Henson, sister, Connie Burnam and husband, David of Jones, Oklahoma; nephew, David E. Burnam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and nephew, Jason W. Burnam and wife, Pamela of Choctaw, Oklahoma.

     Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Carol Dianne Trail, daughter-in-law, Beverly Dudley and great grandson, Dawson.
    Funeral services for Wanda Christine Dudley will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 17, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg. Rev. Darrell Ford will officiate and burial will follow in Lindale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Reed Funeral Chapel.
