Vicky was born on February 23, 1949 to James and Laverne (Weatherington) Hale. On September 25, 1965 she married Arlie W. “PeeWee” Leonberger. From that union was born their son, Steven W. She loved her job and was very good at it, especially at keeping the truck drivers and loader men in line. When they sold out to Martin Marietta, her boss said that if he ever opened another quarry, he’d be calling her because she was the one that kept things running.
