Traci Lynn Bell, age 39, of Thompsonville passed away on March 2, 2024, at Ferrell Hospital.
Traci was born on February 14, 1985, in Harrisburg to Harry and Barb (Ragain) Marks of Galatia. On September 20, 2008, she married Andy Bell. She attended Little Chapel Church in Harrisburg. Traci graduated from Galatia High School in 2003 and from SIU in 2008 where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She worked for Shawnee Health as a Senior Care Coordinator for 10 years and previously worked for Bondo’s Pizza for 10 years. Traci had a heart for the elderly. She was a baseball mom, she traveled with the boys to all of their games with the S.I. Shockers and 9 U Thrillbillies. She made many close relationships with parents of the other ball players and considered them a second family.
Traci is survived by her husband Andy, their two sons, Peyton and Parker Bell, parents, Harry and Barb Marks, brother, Aaron Marks and wife Hayley of Harrisburg, nephew, Oliver Marks, niece Noah Grace Marks, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vicki Latrese and husband Richard Guye of Thompsonville, two brothers-in-law, Shannon Bell and wife Anissa of Marion, and Kris Guye and wife GeNea of College Station, Texas; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Traci Lynn Bell will be held at 7 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Little Chapel Church in Harrisburg. T.W. Norman and Jeff Rush will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 PM, Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Little Chapel Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and envelopes will be available at the church.
