Thomas "Tommy" Lee Ledbetter

     Thomas Lee “Tommy” Ledbetter, age 70 of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:58 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.

     Tommy was born in Harrisburg, on September 26, 1952 to the late John Eston and Betty Jane (Shewmake) Ledbetter Vaughn. Tommy was a retired foreman for the Illinois Department of Transportation and was Christian by faith.  He enjoyed watching ESPN, particularly college basketball and football. He also formerly loved playing tennis and was a member of a tennis league in Harrisburg. Tommy was dearly loved by his family and he was a “good uncle”.

     Tommy is survived by sisters, Doris Peters of Harrisburg; Norma Thaxton and husband Terry of Harrisburg; and Lisa Isom and husband Richard of Harrisburg; special nieces, Lori Ledbetter, Kim Hubbard, April Murrow and Claudia Rice; several other nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Ledbetter.  

     In addition to his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by a brother, John Ledbetter; sister, Carolyn Murrow and husband Claude; sister, Janet Ledbetter; and brother-in-law, Dennis Peters.
