Suzanne (Porter) Moore

      Suzanne Moore, age 72 of Eldorado, passed away at 11:15 PM, Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Shawnee Rose Care Center, surrounded by her family.

     Suzanne was born on November 7, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Daniel Collins and Virginia Kathryn (Stone) Porter. On August 19, 1975 she married Larry Dale Moore and he preceded her in death on May 10, 2012. Suzanne worked as a Register Nurse in various health care facilities in the area. She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Suzanne attended the First Christian Church of Eldorado.

     Suzanne is survived by a daughter, Jill Taylor and husband, Bill of Reno, Nevada; son, Thomas “Scooby” Rheude and wife Kimberly of Sandwich, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Michael Mugge and fiancée Rebecca of McLeansboro, Illinois; Dakota Mugge and wife Jordan of Eldorado, Illinois; Laura Duffield and husband Nathan of Humble, Texas; Katie Duncan and husband Ty of Elko, Nevada; Braden Mansur of Fort Riley, Kansas; Cole Mansur of Sandwich, Illinois; and Garrett Rheude of Sandwich, Illinois; and eleven great grandchildren.

     Funeral service for Suzanne Moore will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg, formerly Reed Funeral Chapel. Rev. Scott Pilkington will officiate and burial will follow at a later date in Wolf Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Memorials may be made to the Activities Department at Shawnee Rose Nursing Home or Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
