Steven Scott Binkley

     Steven Scott Binkley, age 56 of Harrisburg, passed away at 6:05 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at his residence.

     Steve was born on June 6, 1969 in Sandwich, Illinois to the late Robert and Virginia (Lemons) Binkley.  He graduated from Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg with an Associate’s Degree and worked as a Mechanic.  Steve loved building things and working with his hands.  His life was marked by his dedication to his craft as a mechanic, a career and hobby that spanned many years of his life.  Steve was a man who took pride in his work, always offering his expertise and generosity to the community through his work.  He was always thinking of others, especially his children and grandchildren.  Steve will be remembered for his kindness and love he shared with everyone around him.

     Steve is survived by his three children, son, Steven Binkley of Harrisburg; daughter, Ashley Binkley of Harrisburg; daughter, Alyssa Sarro and husband Luke of Oxford, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Watson and Rhys Binkley of Galatia; Isabella and Genesis Koester of Harrisburg; Henry and Emilia Sarro of Oxford, Pennsylvania; sister, Karen Smith of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Sherry Owen and husband Billy of Eldorado; sister, Marlana Catalano of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Dale Binkley.

     Funeral services for Steven Scott Binkley will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Rev. Jerry Wells will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM, Friday, July 11, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Stricklin Funeral Home and will be received at the funeral home.
