Shirley Ann (Stephenson) Harris

     Shirley Ann Harris, age 88, of Harrisburg went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 28, 2025.  Shirley was born on September 14, 1937 to Ivor and Ruth Stephenson.  On March 9, 1956, she married the Reverend Fred Harris, who preceded her in death on April 14, 1999.  Shirley was a devoted pastor’s wife and was always active in the church.  She was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church.

     Shirley was the most loving, kind, giving and supportive Christian lady one could ever have the pleasure of knowing.  She was a member of the Red Hats for God and had a lot of fun with all the ladies.  Shirley looked forward to morning phone calls and visits with her daughter Cindy.  She also enjoyed car rides and eating catfish with her son Freddie.  She loved going shopping and to all her grandson’s baseball and football games with her daughter Steffanie.  Shirley loved Christmas and was well known by her family for her elaborately decorated house inside and out.  She would always have a special day to have her children help decorate her tree.  Shirley will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.

     She is survived by her children: Cindy (the late Keith) Webb, Dr. Fred Harris Jr. and Steffanie (Scott) Cummins.  Grandchildren: Greg (Addie Degler) Griffith, Dustin Griffith, Malorie (Kevin) Webb, Christian (Brooklyn) Cummins and Cameron (Ashley) Cummins.  Great Grandchildren, Taylor (Adam) Horty, Dalton Griffith, Dawson Griffith, Carlynn, Caden, Crislynn and Chloe Cummins, Haven Cummins plus one due June 1, 2026, Dane (Megan) Degler, Draven (Neblin) Degler and Dayanara (DT) Deglar.  Great-Great Grandchildren:  Beckham Horty, McKenna, Veronica Amara and Dean Degler and Niece, Rebecca Seroka.

     Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Geri Stephenson and nephew, Howard Stephenson Jr.

     Funeral services for Shirley Ann Harris will be held at 12 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Jeremy Bennett will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 12 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.
