Seraphine Ann (Dallmeir) Parks

     Seraphine Ann Parks, age 92, of Harrisburg passed away at 11:27 AM on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Wabash Senior Living and Rehabilitation in Carmi.

     Ann was born on July 14, 1933 in Rosenheim, Germany to the late Jacob and Theresi (Rits) Dallmeir.  She moved to the United States in 1957.  Ann married John Duncan and he preceded her in death.  She later married Orville Parks and he preceded her in death.  Ann worked at the Cap Factory as a seamstress.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Harrisburg.  Ann was also member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and The Golden Circle.   

     Ann is survived by her two step-sons, Russell Duncan and wife, Katy of Harrisburg; and Larry Duncan and wife, Vickie of Carrier Mills; step-daughter, Brenda Schoenburger of New York; step daughter-in-law, Laura Duncan of Murphysboro; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.    

     In addition to her parents, and husbands, John Duncan and Orville Parks, Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Therese Maksimovich; step-son, Michael Duncan; and long-time companion, Jack Myers.

     Mass of Christian Burial for Seraphine Ann Parks will be held at 11AM, on Monday, December 29, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.  Father Christian Iwuagwu will officiate and burial follow at Spring Valley Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church and envelopes will be available at the church.
