Rox Anne (Parks) Van Dyke

     Rox Anne Van Dyke passed away at her home with her husband by her side after a long battle with dementia at 2:00 AM, Friday, August 16, 2024.

     Rox Anne was born on August 11, 1962, in Harrisburg to Orlie and Patricia (Chaney) Parks Jr. She married Keith “Weed” Van Dyke in 1989 and he survives. Rox Anne worked as a Claims Examiner for WPS, Blue Cross Blue Shield and she had formerly worked for Harrisburg Medical Center. She was an avid cat lover and member of the ASPCA. Rox Anne also enjoyed boating and baking. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills.

     Rox Ann is survived by her husband of thirty-six years, Keith “Weed” Van Dyke of Harrisburg; step-son, Jackson Van Dyke and wife Megan of Evansville, Indiana; three grandchildren, Cooper, Carter and Charlotte Van Dyke; mother, Patty Parks of Carrier Mills; sister, Kim Jolly and husband Dion of Carrier Mills; brother, Shayne Parks and wife, Veronica of Carrier Mills; sister-in-law, Kathy Brech of Green Briar, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Judy Brech and husband, Robert of Green Briar, Arkansas; brother-in-law, John Van Dyke and wife Debbie of Carrier Mills; brother-in-law, David Van Dyke and wife Lisa of Carrier Mills; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

     Rox Anne was preceded in death by her father, Orlie Parks Jr.

     Funeral services for Rox Anne Van Dyke will be held at 12 Noon, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Ryan Beck will officiate, and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the service hour on Tuesday August 20, 2024. Memorial contributions may be made the ASPCA and will be received at the funeral home.
