Ronald Edward Bell

     Ronnie Edward Bell, age 49 of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:32 AM, Friday, September 1, 2022.

     Ronnie was born on February 11, 1973 in Harrisburg, Illinois to the late Sandra Sue Smith.

Ronnie was a self-employed Welder.  He loved dogs, and enjoyed four wheeling, and fishing with family at the pond with cat tails. Ronnie also loved spending time with family and kids.  Ronnie was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.

     Ronnie is survived by two children, daughter, Victoria Bell of Indiana; and son, Jackson Bell of Indiana; sister, Jamie Phillips of Harrisburg, Illinois; aunt and uncle, Billy and Patty Heflin of Galatia, Illinois; nieces and nephews, Nickolas Phillips of Harrisburg, Illinois; Chase Horton of Galatia, Illinois; Addie Walker of Galatia, Illinois; and Gage Walker of Galatia, Illinois; cousins, Heather Mocaby of Pittsburg, Illinois; Hillary Walker and husband Wade of Galatia, Illinois; Cody Heflin of Herrin, Illinois; and Jason Smith of Harrisburg, Illinois; the Place and Ratliff families;  and the Jeff Rorer family.

     Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Sue Smith, maternal grandparents, James Edward and Mary “Lucy” Smith, aunt, Vickie Smith and special friend, Davy Ratliff.

    Memorial services for Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Bell will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Sunset Garden Cemetery. Immediately following a celebration of life will be held at 617 S. Ledford Street in Harrisburg and all family and friends are invited.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stricklin Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.  Condolences may be left for the family on his obituary page at www.stricklinfuneralhome.com.
