Robert “Bo” Randall Oxford age 63, passed away at 2:46 PM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at his residence in Harrisburg.
Bo was born on July 10, 1962 in Tucson, Arizona to the late Paul E. and Barbara (Wasson) Oxford. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Pamela K. (Wheatcroft) Oxford. They were married on November 23, 1990. Bo was a graduate of Harrisburg High School Class of 1980 and received his Associate Degree in Applied Science from Southeastern Illinois College in July 1982. He was baptized on August 17, 2003. Bo had a deep faith in our Lord. He was the best husband and father. He had a great sense of humor, a kind heart and was loved by so many. Bo was a heavy equipment operator out of I.U.O.E. Local #318, Marion, Illinois; he also worked as a heavy equipment operator for Downen Enterprises of Shawneetown. He was also a very good mechanic; he rebuilt many engines in his lifetime.
In addition to his wife Pam, Bo is survived by four children, Robert Keith Patterson of Galatia; Adam Jordon “A.J.” Smith of Harrisburg; Ryan Randall (Sara) Oxford of Highland, Illinois; and Kayla Dawn (Travis) Oxford Warren of Harrisburg. As well as eight grandchildren, Damon, Elijah, Zoey, Willa, Wyatt, Eva, Lila and Nina.
Bo was a beloved brother to his three sisters and they survive, Diane (Sid) Roberson of Harrisburg; Mary Elizabeth (Walter) Siemsglusz of Belleville, Illinois and Cheryl Oxford of Harrisburg. Bo, was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Bo was a special son-in-law and brother-in-law and is survived by James and Melody Wheatcroft of Harrisburg; Tina (Mark) Coe of Missoula, Montana; and Brian (Jeana) Wheatcroft of Carrier Mills.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Victoria Lynn.
Funeral services for Robert “Bo” Randall Oxford will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will be held at 2 PM, with the funeral service immediately following. Rev. Jay Herring will officiate and burial will follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children and will be received at the funeral home.
