Richard James Rabasco

     Richard James Rabasco, age 70, of Equality, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Harrisburg Medical Center.

     Richard was born on December 7, 1954 in Peekskill, New York to Michael and Rose (Sciamatore) Rabasco.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam era. Richard worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a Supervisor Building Engineer of the Washington DC Postal Service.

     Richard is survived by his mother, Rose Carrigan of Leonardtown, Maryland; four children, daughter, Connie Proctor of Stafford, Virginia; daughter, Rebecka Rabasco and wife Devon Gooch of Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter, Amanda Rabasco of Manassas, Virginia; and daughter, Rachel Rabasco-Sanchez and husband Ernesto of Fredericksburg, Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, Aspen, Dakota, Donovan, Zoë, Dyami, Angel, Amaya, Manuel, Arissa, Faith, Jacoury, Julian, and Xiomara; sister, Denise Rabasco of Newburgh, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

    Richard was preceded in death by his father, Michael Rabasco III; granddaughter, Eliana Rabasco-Sanchez; brother, Dwayne Rabasco; brother, Michael Rabasco IV; brother, Brian Rabasco; nephew, Angelo Rabasco; and great-nephew, Bobby.

     Military honors for Richard James Rabasco will be held at Cheltenham Veteran’s Cemetery at a later date
