Phillip "Bud" Odle

     Bud Odle , 81, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at home.

     Bud was born on September 11, 1940, north of Galatia, on a farm to the late Jim and Delena Odle. The family moved into Galatia when his dad went to WWII. He attended Galatia schools until he graduated with the class of 1958. He married Patty Abney who survives in Harrisburg. They then had three children, Rena, Phillip and Marci. He was a retired UMWA Coal Miner and a United States Army Veteran.

     Bud is survived by his wife Patty of Harrisburg, son Phillip of Ft. Lauderdale, daughters, Rena (Ed) Conkle of Harrisburg, and Marci Odle of Harrisburg, grandsons, Jared (Sherri) Conkle and Jacob Conkle of Harrisburg, sister-in-law, Darlene Dearing of Harrisburg, and her children, Rick, Scott and Melissa, and cousins and friends which were special to him.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Phylis Goodwin and her sons Todd and Cam Goodwin, sisters, Shirley and Ellen Linn in infancy, adored in-laws, Marion and Wanda Abney.

     At his request, graveside services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg. Rev. Harl Cockrum will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tate’s Chapel Cemetery or Coleman Tri County Services.
