Patricia Ann “Terisa” Williams, age 60 of Equality, Illinois passed away at 6:10 PM, on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Harrisburg Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Terisa was born on July 19, 1965 in Rosiclare to the late John Robert and LuVean (Boswell) Smith. She married Jimmy “Duke” Williams on February 10, 1994 and he survives in Equality. Terisa was primarily a homemaker. She was the First Lady at Carr’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for over 10 years, where she was very active within her church. Terisa enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Terisa was a very giving lady; she would give you the shirt off her back. She had an infectious laugh and welcomed all with a strong embrace. Terisa was very passionate about worshipping God, passionate about children and helping those in need. She was an excellent cook, not needing recipes but always cooking from memory. Terisa was very much a “Mother Hen” to all those around her.
In addition to her husband, Jimmy “Duke” Williams of Equality, Terisa is survived by her five children, Christopher Williams and wife Larissa of Louisville, Kentucky; Mikael B. Smith of Beaver, Ohio; Milony A. Willers and husband, Stephen of Loop City, Nebraska; Michelle R. Stutts and husband Clayton of Brandon, Mississippi; Paige Victoria of Eldorado Illinois; twelve grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Lilly, Justin, Kayla, Seth, Colby, Zoey, Landen, Coleton, Beckham, Brenna, and Willow; sister, Carla Royal of Equality, Illinois; sister, Mari Rankin and husband Randy of Mesick, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Terisa was preceded in death by her daughter, Angela J. Williams; daughter and twin boys in infancy; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Betty Smith.
Funeral services for Patricia Ann “Terisa” Williams will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Carr’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Morganfield, Kentucky with Visitation from 10 AM until the service hour at the church. Pastor Karl Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Equality where Pastor Curt Morris will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 8 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Carr’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for reupholstering pews and will be received at Stricklin Funeral Home and envelopes will be available at the church.
