Olive H (Hardin) Johnson

     Olive H. Johnson, age 96 of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away at 9:00 AM, on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at her residence.

     Olive was born on February 16, 1929 in Houston, Texas to the late Frank and Harriet (Burt) Hardin.  She married Raymond N. Johnson on May 3, 1965 and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2016.  Olive was a co-owner of Interstate Landscaping and owner of Raymond N. Corporation.  She enjoyed shopping and looking for a good deal.  Olive loved to collect stuffed animals and to take care of her plants.  She had a kind heart.

     Olive is survived by her nephew, Rupert Johnson and wife Patti of Harrisburg, Illinois; stepdaughter, Renee Derrick and husband John of Landover, Maryland.; stepdaughter, Donna Butcher and husband James of Fayetteville, Georgia; step granddaughter Lecia Johnson of Clinton, Maryland; step great-grandchildren, Javier and Xori Quarles of Clinton, Maryland; and nephew, Kimte’ Hardin of California.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Raymond, Olive was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.

     Visitation for Olive H. Johnson will be held from 9 AM to 11 AM, on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
