Naomi (Stone) Rogers, age 79, of Marion, passed away at 5:23 PM, Friday, February 7, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital.
Naomi was born on April 2, 1945, in Harrisburg to the late Willie and Thelma (Penrod) Stone. On September 26, 1964, she married Paul Rogers, and he preceded her in death on July 15, 2011. Naomi enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards with her family and viewing art galleries. She loved caring for and entertaining children. Naomi was a jewel in her family and had a heart of gold; she would always put others before herself and never had a bad word to say about anyone.
Naomi is survived by her sister, Wanda Reed of Marion, Illinois; sister, June Winkleman of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; sister, Cindy Messamore of Harrisburg; brother, Bobby Stone and wife Chris of Carrier Mills; sister-in-law, Carol Stone of Annavale, Virginia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband Paul, Naomi was preceded in death by two sons in infancy; sister, Alberta Wright; sister, Ann Hinant; sister, MarilynKay Browning; brother, James Stone; and brother, Willie “Billy” Stone, Jr.
Funeral services for Naomi (Stone) Rogers will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Devinn Winkleman will officiate and burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Stricklin Funeral Home.
