Millie (Richey) Bond

      Millie Bond, 73 of Galatia, passed away at 11:51 AM, Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at her residence in Galatia, surrounded by her family.
      Millie was born on May 6, 1950 in Eldorado, to the late James Horace and Flossie Fern (Arnold) Richey. On August 24, 1967 she married Kenny Bond and he survives. 
      In addition to her husband Kenny, Millie is survived by two children, Melody Bond and husband Chris Johnston of Galatia; and Patrick Bond and Beth Fletcher of Galatia; four grandchildren, Liam and Jack Johnston; Elijah Bond and wife Bridget; and Daisy Bond, all of Galatia, one great grandchild on the way, Eli and Daisy's mother Denise Clarida Bond; sister, Rita Eatherly of Galatia; Twin brothers, Charles "Chuck" Richey and wife Joy of Galatia and Bill Richey and wife Janie of Galatia. Millie has many nieces and nephews that were very dear to her, and special nieces that were like sisters, Janet Foster of Galatia, Debbie Porter of Indiana; and April Rubio of Tennessee.
       In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Rosemary Richey, brother-in-law, James "Jim" Eatherly, and nephew by marriage, Alan Foster.
      Private services will be held. Rev. Dale Martin will officiate and burial will follow in Brushy Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Brushy Cemetery and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
