Michael Hale Obituary

     Michael Benjamin Hale, age 68 of Equality, passed away at 11:49 PM, on Friday, May 23, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family.

     Mike was born on January 25, 1957 in Eldorado to Bennie Charles and Elizabeth “Betty” Louise (Drone) Hale.  On December 10, 1982 he married Paulette Hill and she survives in Equality.  Mike was a farmer, and business owner.  He owned Hale Trucking Company and was a co-owner of M & R Repair.  Mike had a PhD in Biblical Theology from the International College of Bible Theology.  He enjoyed serving God through mission work, serving in Botswana, Ukraine, Costa Rice, Hatti, Honduras and Mexico.  Mike was also a guitarist for the gospel band “Eastern Sky”.  He enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling.  Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He was a hard worker, loved working on the farm and loved his family.

    Mike is survived by his wife, Paulette; son, Ben Donley of Vienna; son Steven McEwing and wife, April, of Raleigh; daughter, Stephanie Patterson and husband, Robert of Equality; nine grandchildren, Gregory Hale; Cassidy Emery and husband, Vincent; Savannah Sanders; Mirranda Webb and husband, Dylan; Mason McEwing and wife Jessica; Andrew McEwing; Addi McEwing; Evan White and husband, Ty; Ethan Patterson and wife, Kambria; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Miles of Evansville, Indiana; sister, Barb Gibbs and husband, Bill of Golconda; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his son, Greg Hale.

     Private services for Michael Benjamin Hale will be held.
