Mary Lucille Jones, 83, of Harrisburg, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 5:10 PM at Ferrell hospital in Eldorado.
Lucille was born August 18,1940 in Harrisburg to the late Hosia and Lillie (Headrick) Keith. On April 8, 1965 she married Lloyd Jones and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2008. Lucille was a waitress in Harrisburg for 30+ years and member of Dorrisville Baptist Church. Lucille loved her family deeply and loved spending time with her grand babies whom she helped to raise. She also enjoyed Coca-Cola and Bingo.
Lucille is survived by her two sons, Vince Stevers and wife Kim of Carrier Mills; and Lloyd Jones Jr. and fiancée Sharrol Norton of Harrisburg; nine grandchildren; Kendra Pate and husband Ryan of Harrisburg; Valerie McDonald and husband Patrick of Galatia; Makaylynn Sheldon and husband Logan of Harrisburg; Trevor Stevers and fiancée Megan Summers of Harrisburg; Shiloh Stevers and fiancée Andrew Wright of Newburgh, Indiana; Casey Douglas and wife Coreen Smith of Metropolis; Tiffany Watson and husband James of Harrisburg; Holly Snyder and boyfriend Lee Smith of Hawaii; and Justin Jones and girlfriend Nicole Caldwell of Harrisburg; fourteen great grandchildren, Halleye, Logan, Christian, Nevaeh, Ethan, Quincy, Colson, Colby, Asher, P.J., Angel, Jerry, Libby, Kandis, and one on the way; sister, Nadine Allen of Tennessee; sister, Norma Watson and husband Carl of Tennessee; special niece and caregiver, Sherry Tarlton; and several other nieces and nephews and special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lloyd, Lucille was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Keith; brother, Bud Keith; sister, Phyllis Ruth Ferrell; brother, Johnny Wayne Keith, and step-mother, Ruby Keith.
Funeral services for Mary Lucille Jones will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Brent Holloway will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Stricklin Funeral Home to help offset burial expenses.
