Mary Ellen (Adams) Vinyard

     Mary Ellen Vinyard, age 86 of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:15 AM, December 27, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

    Mary was born on December 9, 1938 in Eldorado to the late John and Mary Lee Adams. She married Thomas Jefferson Vinyard and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2003. Mary was a teacher at Horace Mann School and later at East Side in Harrisburg for 32 years. She was a member of Sulphur Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Mary enjoyed bowling and playing cards. She was a loving and caring mom and grandma.

    Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathi Wolfe of Harrisburg, Illinois; three grandchildren, Amber Bone and husband Keith of St. Louis, Missouri; Kort Vinyard and wife Lindsey of Benton, Illinois; and Mykel Wolfe of Clarksville, Tennessee and three great grandchildren.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Thomas, Mary was preceded in death by her son, Mike Vinyard and brother, Donald Vinyard.

    Private services for Mary Ellen Vinyard will be held.
