Marsha Rozann Faulkner

     Marsha Rozann Faulkner, age 61, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 1:48 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center of Springfield.

     Marsha was born on August 9, 1960 in Saline County to the late Samuel Marshall and Delores Joan (Stiff) Faulkner. Marsha graduated from SIU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education in 1983. She worked as a case worker for the Illinois Department of Human Services. Marsha was a prolific reader of books and magazines. She enjoyed pop culture and Hollywood and eagerly awaited her People and Us magazines to arrive each week. She was a life-long lover of animals, especially dogs. Marsha was very loyal and loved spending time talking with her friends. She thoroughly loved when her neighbors would bring their dogs over to visit and she always had a steady supply of dog treats available for them. 

     Marsha is survived by a cousin, who was raised like her brother, George Sisk III and wife Jori of Springfield, Illinois; their children, Elliot Sisk and Eden Sisk of Springfield who affectionately referred to her as “Auntie Marsha”; and an uncle George Sisk, Jr. of Junction.

     In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by her aunt, Janice Sisk.

     Private services for Marsha Rozann Faulker were held at Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Marsha’s honor may be made to the Animal Protective League at 1001 Taintor Road, Springfield, Illinois 62702.
