Mark Douglas Alecci

     Mark Douglas Alecci, age 68 of Milton, Florida passed away at 9:52 AM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at VITAS Inpatient Hospice at Pensacola Florida, surrounded by his family.

     Mark was born on April 17, 1957 to the late Cletus LaVern and Emma Sue (Tate) Alecci.  On December 30, 1977 he married Leasia Williams at Tate’s Chapel and she survives in Milton, Florida.  Mark started working for his father at Alecci Construction.  He worked as a carpenter and later as a coal miner until his retirement.  Mark attended Pace Assembly in Pace, Florida and formerly attended Little Chapel Church.  He liked to piddle; he enjoyed gardening in his flower garden and vegetable garden.  Mark enjoyed carpentry and working with his hands. He loved to reminisce with his old mining buddies telling stories.  Mark enjoyed spending time at the beach. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. 

    Mark is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Leasia; daughter, Brandi Presley of Colleyville, Texas; daughter, Bridget Wiggins and husband Benjie of Harrisburg; daughter, Brooke Suits and husband Eric of Stafford, Virginia; son, JohnMark and wife Hannah of Mary Esther, Florida; twelve grandchildren, Sophia, William, and Grace Presley, Luke and Levi Baugher, Liza Wiggins, Landon, Carter, Allie, and Maddie Suits, Jude Mark, and Marlow Alecci; brother, Rick Alecci and wife Pam of Harrisburg; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

     In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Rodney Williams; and mother-in-law, Betty Roberts.

     Funeral services for Mark Douglas Alecci will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Jeff Rush will officiate and burial will follow in Tate’s Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Tate’s Chapel Cemetery and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.  Condolences for Mark’s family may be left on his obituary page at www.stricklinfuneralhome.com.
