Margie (Partain) Fulkerson

     Margie Fulkerson, age 85 of Galatia passed away at 3:35 AM, Monday, July 21, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her family.

     Margie was born on November 16, 1939 in Harrisburg to the late Alonzo and Margaret (Hall) Partain.  On May 29, 1959 she married Donald “Don” Fulkerson and he preceded her in death on March 29, 2016.  Margie was a homemaker and served on the Galatia Public Library Board.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Galatia.  Margie was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. 

     Margie is survived by her three children, daughter, Cheryl Fulkerson of Galatia; son, Jeff Fulkerson and wife Paula of Harrisburg; son, Philip Fulkerson and wife Gina of Galatia; grandson, Justin Fulkerson of Harrisburg; granddaughter, Whitney Sloan and husband Sean of Galatia; grandson, Weston Fulkerson and wife Lorrae of Galatia; six great-grandchildren, Saylor Sloan; Seger Sloan; Paxton Lee Fulkerson; Evan Dale Fulkerson; Olen Ray Fulkerson; and Lakin Marie Fulkerson; niece, Susan Gossett and husband John of Jasper, Indiana; and nephew, Ronnie Dilback of Evansville, Indiana.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Don, Margie was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Dilback and brother-in-law Don Dilback.

     Graveside services for Margie Fulkerson will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Tate’s Chapel Cemetery in Galatia.  Rev. Greg Hughes will officiate.
