Loretta Jean Beasley, age 67, of Galatia, was reunited with her “Cowboy” in heaven at 1:31 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Loretta was born on April 12, 1954, in Harrisburg, to the late Glenn and Mary Agnes (Fiala) Evetts. On April 14, 1972, she married Carl “Cowboy” Beasley and he preceded her in death on February 24, 2019. Loretta was a Web Designer for Ann’s Bra Shop. She enjoyed web design, fishing and loved to take pictures of her family. She was a loving, sweet and caring lady and loved her dog Susie Q.
Loretta is survived by three children, son, Kelly Beasley and wife Cari of Salem, Illinois, daughter, Stephanie Beasley of Galatia, Illinois, son, Jeremy Beasley and wife Laci of Herrin, Illinois; five grandchildren, Jackeline Black and husband Curtis of Salem, Illinois, Zachary Steevens of Salem, Illinois, Brian Evilsizer of Salem, Illinois, Rowdy Beasley of Herrin, Illinois, Baylee Beasley of Herrin, Illinois; great granddaughter, Arya Black; sister, Cheryl Volkert of Harrisburg, Illinois, brother, Tommy Evetts and wife Angie of Stonefort, Illinois, sister, April Barnes and husband Ted of Canada; several nieces and nephews; and a great number of beloved friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Reed Funeral Chapel. Rev. Jason Jean will officiate and burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 PM at Reed Funeral Chapel. Please remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
