Lillie Mae (Thompson) Coleman

     Lillie Mae Coleman, 79, of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:18 AM, Sunday, January 11, 2026 at her home in Harrisburg.

     Lillie was born on January 11, 1947 in Trebloc, Mississippi to the late C.D. and Inez (Huddleston) Thompson. On July 14, 1963 she married Herbert Coleman Jr. and he preceded her in death on July 5, 1997. In her spare time Lillie loved reading her bible, making quilts, sewing, taking care of her plants and tending to her small garden just like her mother. She also enjoyed watching westerns, working on her puzzles and doing word searches. Lillie was a homemaker and loving mother.

     Lillie is survived by nine children, Tina Hickerson and husband Carl of St. Louis, Missouri; Ernestine Coleman of Marion, Illinois, Luyvonne Allen of Carrier Mills; Charlene Coleman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Rita Jacobs and husband Joel of Harrisburg; Pam Goot and husband Harold of Harrisburg; Homer Coleman and wife Judy of Harrisburg; Joe Coleman of Harrisburg and David Coleman of Harrisburg; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Herbert; Lillie was preceded in death by brothers, John Lee Thompson, George Robert Thompson, Walter Thompson, Leonard Thompson and Edward Lee Thompson; sisters, Ora Thompson, Ailcestia Gunn, Dela Jackson and Ella Allen; and son in law, Ron Allen.

     Funeral services for Lillie Mae Coleman will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Visitation will be held from 10 AM to 11 AM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery at Carrier Mills.
