Kenneth Terry Royse

     Kenneth Terry Royse, age 62, of Broughton, passed away at 8:58 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

     Kenneth was born on April 27, 1962 in Mullens, West Virginia to Oliver Blaine Royse and Rachel Alice (Reed) Thompson.  Kenneth enjoyed hunting coon and deer.  He also enjoyed vegetable gardening, particularly tomatoes, cucumbers and strawberries.  Kenneth was a very kind and loving individual.  He was a loving son who loved his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews. 
     Kenneth is survived by his mother, Rachel Thompson of Dale, Illinois; son, Jamie Perkins of North Carolina; daughter, Kandy Birdsong of North Carolina; brother, Oval Royse and wife Sue of Kenosha, Wisconsin; brother, Blaine Royse and Patricia McDaniel of Broughton; nephew, Allen Royse and wife Sandy of Illinois; nephew, Flynt Johnson and wife Rebecca of Michigan; nephew, Austin Royse and wife Valida of Jefferson City, Missouri; nephew, Brayden Royse of Kenosha, Wisconsin; nephew, Daniel Royse of McLeansboro; niece, Kali Royse and husband Austin of Herod, nephew, David Royse of Broughton; niece, Lamanda Blackburn of McLeansboro; three great nieces, Jalynn Marler, Sawyer James Royse and Kinsley Johnson Royse; one great nephew, T.J. Blackburn; aunt, Genie Robertson of West Virginia; cousin, Amos Robertson; cousin, Mickey Robertson; cousin, Shirley Robertson; cousin, Katie Robertson; and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

      Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Royse; step-father, James C. Thompson; and brother, David Austin Royse.

     Funeral services for Kenneth Terry Royse will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Miller will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, March 1, 2025.
