Kenneth Eugene "Gene" Fowler, Jr.

     Kenneth Eugene “Gene” Fowler Jr., 84 of Sainte Genevieve, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

     Gene was born on December 29, 1938 in Bankston to the late Kenneth Eugene Fowler Sr and Madge (Patterson) Fowler. He graduated Galatia High School in 1956 and immediately enlisted in the United States Navy.  Gene served his country in the Navy for four and half years. On January 4, 1985 he married Annie Dunn and she survives in Sainte Genevieve. Gene worked as personnel manager for a barge company and later as a pension fund manager for painters’ union in St. Louis, Missouri. Gene was Catholic by faith. He loved classical music, drawing and writing. Gene was honest and the same every time you saw him.

     Gene is survived by his wife, Annie; step-daughter, Beth Henshaw of Simpson; brother, Randall Fowler and wife Kim of Harco; sister, Beverly Alecci and husband Mike of Harco; sister, Annette Mandrell of Harco and several nieces and nephews.

     Gene was preceded in death by his parents, step-son, Robert Douglas McCall; brother-in-law, Bobby Mandrell; nephew, Kevin Mandrell and several aunts and uncles.

     Graveside services for Kenneth Eugene “Gene” Fowler Jr. will be held at 2 PM, Monday December 18, 2023 at Brushy Cemetery at Harco. Rev. Dale Martin will officiate and burial will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation and envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
