Kathy Kaye (Barnett) Williams

     Kathy Kaye Williams, age 66, of Harrisburg passed away at 6:35 PM, Sunday, December 5, 2021 at her residence.   

     Kathy was born on February 21, 1955 in Harrisburg to Herman “Barney” and Wilma (Kinney) Barnett, her father survives in Harrisburg.  She married Calvin C. Williams on December 8, 1984 and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2012. She was the caregiver to her 90 year old father, Herman “Barney” Barnett. Kathy was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg. She devoted her life to others and had a true servant’s heart. She spent many years volunteering time to community, church, Girl Scouts, 4-H, those in the military and beyond. Kathy was often referred to as a “professional volunteer” through the years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and Amy and Callie were her world.

    Kathy is survived by her daughter, Amy Craig and her significant other, Jamal Oxford in Harrisburg; and granddaughter, Callie Oxford of Harrisburg.

    Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Barnett and husband, Calvin C. Williams.

    A memorial service will be held Friday, December 10, 2021 at 2 PM at Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg, Illinois. Rev. DeWayne Taylor will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses and continued care of her elderly father.
