Karry Rebecca Voice (Becky Hollaway), age 64, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away early morning Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Karry (Becky) was born on February 4, 1961, in Harrisburg to Charles Hollaway and Mildred Hollaway Elam. Karry married John McGehee, Jr. in 1985 in Georgia, the father of her daughter, Tara Brooke Riggio. Sixteen years later, in 2001, she married Charles (Chuck) Voice of DuQuoin, Illinois, the father of her son Hunter James Voice.
Karry (Becky) was skilled in many areas and excelled at everything she did, always giving her best effort. Her hobbies were focused on helping others rather than herself, and she was a dedicated worker driven by service. After her stroke in February 2019, she could no longer maintain her active lifestyle, and her health swiftly declined.
Karry loved her family and was extremely proud of her children and their accomplishments. Karry was also proud to have built her Habitat for Humanity home in 2012 in Harrisburg, Illinois. She is survived by her two children, Tarra Riggio of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Hunter Voice of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three grandchildren, Francesca Riggio, Cameron Sparks, and Cohen Sparks; sister, Cydney Hollaway of Harrisburg; nieces and nephews, John (Holly) Hollaway, Jr.; Jamie Piazza; Roger Hollaway; Sydney (Michelle) Hollaway; Courtney (Jason) Riggs; and Johathan Meadows.
Karry was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hollaway; brother, James “Jimmy” Hollaway; brother, John Hollaway; mother, Mildred Elam; brother, David Hollaway; and foster brother, Kenny Hutchison.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to allow for family to travel.
Karry prayed hard every single day that her granddaughter, Francesca, be cured of Dravet Syndrome. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor may be made to the Dravet Syndrome Foundation at dravetfoundation.org/donate.
