Julie Anne (Kennedy) Lewis

     Julie Anne Kennedy Lewis, age 66 of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:43 PM.

     Julie was born on July 29, 1956 in Harrisburg, Illinois to Merritt “Buzz” Kennedy and Shirley Ann (Johnson) Kennedy.  Julie married Donnie Lewis on January 19, 1985. She was a loving wife and mother.

     Julie is survived by her two children, daughter, Nikki Jones and husband Chris of Benton, Kentucky; son, Eric Wenzel of Harrisburg; two grandchildren, Lucas Jones and Gabriel Jones of Benton, Kentucky; brother, Joe Kennedy and wife Denise of Harrisburg; brother, Bob Kennedy of Harrisburg; sister, Jo Anne Kennedy of Indianapolis, Indiana; and nieces, Jordan Kennedy and Maddi Kennedy of Harrisburg.

    Julie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Donnie.

    Memorial services for Julie Anne Lewis will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg and burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Equality. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
