Julie Anderson Obituary

Julie Lynn (Whitler) Anderson, 66, of Harrisburg, IL, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024. Born on December 20, 1957, in Eldorado, IL, Julie grew up in a lively and large family, known for her rambunctious spirit. Her adventurous nature fueled her love for travel and reading, always accompanied by those she loved. While she aspired to be a teacher, Julie fulfilled this role in her own way, offering guidance and unconditional love that touched many lives. Julie devoted over 35 years to her career as a pharmacy technician at Walmart Pharmacy. She profoundly impacted countless lives with her care and dedication. Upon retiring, she embraced her lifelong passion—her family—spending cherished moments with her loved ones.

A selfless soul, Julie fiercely loved her family and friends. She was always ready to lend a hand or an ear, often giving of herself without hesitation. Her grandchildren, Annaclaire, Jerra & Mia, were the joy of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. There was no greater joy for "Gigi" than to often spent many weekends and summer nights, when the girls were out of school, in Morganfield with them. She loved attending their ball games and was always the biggest fan in the crowd, often honking her horn continuously or cheering loudly in celebration of a good hit, or a nice shot!
Julie's love for music and dance was a constant joy in her life, often found singing with friends or playing cards, sharing stories late into the night. Some of her favorite moments were spent by the ocean, listening to the Beach Boys and soaking up the sun. Julie was preceded in death by her husband, Lynn Anderson of Harrisburg, her mother, Patricia (Elder) Clark of Edmond, OK; and her grandmother, Delsey (Ward) Whitler of Eldorado.
She is survived by her father, Keith (Brenda) Whitler of Harrisburg; Three brothers, Andy Whitler of Chicago, IL, Josh Whitler of Eldorado, IL, and Brent Clark of Edmond, OK; Two sisters, Leslie Hanson of Edmond, OK and Lori Burdeaux of Ft Worth, TX; Two sons, Jeremy (Shawna) Johns of Morganfield, KY and Jordan Anderson of Kalamazoo, MI; Three granddaughters, Annaclaire (Caleb), Jerra and Mia (and her granddog, Remmy). Julie's enduring legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom will forever inspire and guide those she touched. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
