Judith Marie "Judy" Pike Obituary

     Judith Marie “Judy” Pike, age 77 of Harrisburg, passed away at 2:45 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Saline Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her family and loved ones.   

     Judy was born on March 29, 1947 in Harrisburg to the late Hazel Marie (Parker) Barger and Troas Barger.  On January 5, 1990 she married Lawrence “Bud” Pike, and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2010.  Judy was a member of Bankston Fork Baptist Church, she attended Pankeyville Baptist Church and most recently Rudement Social Brethren Church.  She worked at the Harrisburg Cap Factory for 20 years.  Judy was also a housekeeper for assisted living and nursing homes, including Saline Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was a hard worker and loved working in healthcare; it was her passion.  Judy loved dancing and flower gardening; but her family was her greatest love.  She was selfless. She so often would do without so that others wouldn’t have to.  “She was a great mom, grandma and devoted sister”. 

     Judy is survived by her three children, daughter, Tammy Smith and husband Joe of Harrisburg; son, Jeff Davidson and wife Cathy of Traverse City, Michigan; son, Gary Turcott of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren; Tonya Creager and husband Noah of Hawaii; Toshia Jo of Harrisburg; Trina Rister and significant other Joe Stroupe of North Carolina; Amber McGill of Harrisburg; Josh Turcott and wife Alisha of Harrisburg; Shania Vaughn of Elizabethtown; and Dalton Vaughn of Elizabethtown; twenty-one great grandchildren, Brantley, Jase, Taylor, Hayden, Harlee, Hunter, Zane, Preston, Nolan, Leila, Blake, Olivia, Blakely, Ansley, Cyrus, Angel, Alex, Adrian, Raelynn, Stadler and Corbin; sister, Janice Oldham and husband Mike; sister, Betty Barger and Terry Sauls; sister, Velma Stockdale and husband Tommy; sister, Jeannie Carriker; sister, Violet Jefferies, brother, Zach Morris Jr.; brother, Sammy Barger and wife Janice; sister, Deretha Flowers; brother, Bobby Jo Barger; brother, David Barger and wife Ramona, sister-in-law, Pam Barger; brother-in-law, Chester Smith; sister-in-law, Marilyn Barger; dear niece, Stephanie Brown and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

     In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded by a grandson, Jeffrey Davidson Jr.; grandson, Jesse Davidson; grandson, Garrett “Lil Man” Turcott; daughter-in-law, Angie Turcott; sister, Marilyn Reed; sister, Beth Smith; brother, Alvin Barger; brother, Terry Ray Barger; sister, Brenda Kay Barger; brother, Glendale Barger; brother, Junior “Troas” Barger; sister, Mary Lou Earls; brother, Jerry Morris; sister-in-law, Adelle Barger; brother-in-law, Cliff Earls; and her four legged fur babies, Tika and ClaireBella.

     Funeral services for Judith Marie “Judy” Pike will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Donnie Hughes will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.
