Jeffrey Alan Grathler

     Jeffrey Alan Grathler, age 60 of Creal Springs, passed away at 3:15 AM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025 in Harrisburg, Illinois.

     Jeff was born on July 20, 1964 in Harrisburg to the late Sammie and Phyllis (Gibbons) Grathler. He married Wanda Winebrenner on February 7, 1998 and she survives in Creal Springs. Jeff was the housekeeping supervisor for Harrisburg Medical Center for over 26 years. He also served as the assistant pastor at Buena Vista Church in Harrisburg. Jeff enjoyed deer hunting in his free time. He wasn’t one to smile much, but to those who knew him he was a prankster and he had a big heart.

     In addition to his wife, Wanda, Jeff is survived by his daughter, Tina Bounda of Joppa, Illinois; Karon Hooks of Grand Chain, Illinois; and daughter, Tracy Hickey of Marion, Illinois; nine grandchildren; Marcus, Micha, Malaya, Braidon, Paisley, Katie, Laura, Jimmy, and Genie; great granddaughter, Jessica; brother, Roy Grathler and wife Marie of Murphysboro, Illinois; Steve Grathler and wife Karla of Murphysboro, Illinois; sister, Lisa Buchannan and husband Lee of Wentzville, Missouri; and sister, Sandra Call of Vienna, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Grathler; brother, Robert Grathler; and sister, Brenda Grathler.

     A memorial service for Jeffery Alan Grathler will be held at a later.
