Janice "Sis" Rayann Vidmar

Janice Rayann Vidmar, age 58, of Carrier Mills passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

     Janice was born May 29, 1964 in Moline, Illinois to the late Donald and Ruby (Debose) Barnes. On June 14, 1991 she married Richard Vidmar and he survives in Carrier Mills. Janice loved traveling, playing bingo, shooting pool, and spending time with grand kids. She was very supportive of her family and a member of APA Pool League and VNEA Pool League.    

     In addition to her husband, Richard, Janice is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Prather and husband Ryan of Harrisburg; and Sammy Jackson and husband David of Box Elder, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Clayton Prather of Harrisburg; Colton Prather of Harrisburg; Chloe Jackson of Box Elder, South Dakota; and Caitlin Jackson of Box Elder, South Dakota; sister, Donna Stone and husband Tim of Harrisburg; brother, Donald Barnes and wife Sandy of Franklin, Kentucky; sister, Glenda Vandenboom of Harrisburg; brother, Richard Barnes and wife Debbie of Gifford, Illinois; sister-in-law, Misty Barnes and several nieces and nephews.

     Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby (Debose) Barnes and Donald Barnes, and brother Kenny Barnes.

     Memorial services for Janice Rayann Vidmar will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg, formerly Reed Funeral Chapel. Rev. Mandy Curry will officiate, and visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left for the family on his obituary page at www.stricklinfuneralhome.com.
