Janet Sue Magnuson

     Janet Sue Magnuson, age 68, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:16 PM, Saturday, August 14, 2021 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

     Janet was born in Peoria on December 17, 1952 to Harold and Barbara (Nelson) Magnuson.  She loved music and loved to sing.

     Janet is survived by her father, Harold Magnuson of Harrisburg; sister Celia Popetz and husband, George of Harrisburg; nephew, Blane Popetz and wife, Anne of St. Louis, Missouri; nephew, Zach Popetz and wife, Sarah of Harrisburg; great nieces and nephews, Ashley, Michael, Isla and Lincoln.

     She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Magnuson.

     Private graveside services for Janet Sue Magnuson will be held at Spring Valley Cemetery in Harrisburg. Rev. Keith Ital will officiate and burial will follow. There will be no public visitation. Memorials may be made in Janet’s honor to Saline Association for Retarded Children/Citizens. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
