Janet Durant

      Janet Durant, age 68 of Harrisburg, passed away at 12:36 PM, Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana.

      Janet was born on October 7, 1956 in Harrisburg to the late Bob Durant Sr. and Rose (Molnar) Durant. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Janet graduated from Southeastern Illinois College and continued her education in Pharmacy School at the University of Oklahoma. Janet worked as a receptionist for Southeastern Illinois Electric Co-Op and she also worked the front desk for Fox’s Cleaners. She also worked for several local pharmacies as a pharmacy tech.

     Janet is survived by her two brothers; Bob Durant Jr. of Harrisburg, Illinois and Dr. Billy Durant of Glendale, California; niece, Atrall Bobenhouse and husband Neil of St. Louis, Missouri; and nephew, Josh Durant of Harrisburg, Illinois.

     In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Durant.

       Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association and will be received at the funeral home.
