James Robert Vaughn

    James “Jim” Robert Vaughn, age 77, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:09 AM, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.

     Jim was born on June 24, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to the late William R. and Lera Lee (Nichols) Vaughn. Jim was a custodian for the postal service. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post 167, George Hart post in Harrisburg.  Jim enjoyed collecting stamps and coins and he loved cars.

     Jim is survived by a son, Dodge Vaughn of Harrisburg; daughter, Lisa Vaughn and husband Mats Axelsson of Surhammar, Sweden; three grandchildren, Alexandra Vaughn, Micheala Vaughn and Ellinor Axelsson Vaughn of Surhammar, Sweden; and two great grandchildren, Kevin and Hailey Vaughn of Surhammar, Sweden; brother John T. Vaughn of Harrisburg; sister Pat Patt of Belleville; nieces and nephews, Kyle Vaughn of Harrisburg, Roby Vaughn of Carrier Mills, William Vaughn and wife LaDonna of Freeman Spur, Blake Vaughn of Eldorado, Leslie Phelps and husband David of Eldorado, Terrie Gibbons of Eldorado, Kim Beels of Michigan and Karen Johnson of Michigan.

     In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded by his brothers, Gary Vaughn, Jeff Vaughn; uncle, Jack Vaughn; aunt, Bobbie; nephew, Karl Vaughn.

      Military rites will be conducted by the United States Navy, the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
