Irene Seets

Lillian Irene Seets, 80, of Columbia, Missouri, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 8:54 AM, Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at The Bluffs in Columbia Missouri.

     Irene was born on April 18, 1942 in Paducah, Kentucky to the late Herbert Wesley and Imogene M. (Campbell) Adams. On July 23, 1960 she married Ron Seets Sr. and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2014. Irene was a beautician and a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church. Irene longed for the day when she would be reunited with Ron, the love of her life. She also wanted to be “back home” in Kentucky where she will be laid to rest.

     Irene is survived by a son, Ronald Seets Jr. and wife Pam of Creal Springs, six grandchildren, Ronnie Seets III and wife Andrea of Clarksville, Tennessee; Riley “Niki”  Bird and husband Jordan of Marion; Claire Risa Midgett and husband Zach of Energy; Rachel Leigh Russell and husband Nick of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Lynsi Raye Alavania and husband Lazo of Crown Point, and Ferryn Dawn Seets of Harrisburg; twenty great grandchildren; sister, Doris J. Overton of Columbia, Missouri; sister, Penny Garrison and husband Jim of Boling Green, Missouri; brother, “Herb” Adams of Metropolis; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, and husband Ron, Irene was preceded in death by a son, Robin S. Seets, brother, Wesley Adams, brother, Jack B. Flatt, and sister-in-law, Suzanne Adams.

     Graveside services will be held at 11 AM, Monday, January 9, 2023 at Maplelawn Park Cemetery in Paducah, Kentucky. Rev. Dewayne Taylor will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Dorrisville Baptist Church and envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
