     Gordon Lee Hull age 71 of Harrisburg passed away on February 21, 2023 at his residence.

     Gordon was born July 28, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Leroy and Rosalie (Hurst) Hull. He served his country in the United States Army. Gordon was an iron worker and handyman. He attended the Equality Church of God and the Honeycomb Church of God when he was able. Gordon was formerly a member of American War Dads and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, making furniture and clocks, playing cards, watching Law and Order and being outdoors in his lawn chair watching the cars go by. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends.

     Gordon is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Thomas and husband Blake of Moultrie, Georgia; step daughters, Delaney Mayberry-Denton and husband Mike of Fairborn, Ohio, Sarah Milligan and husband Daryl Wellen of McLeansboro; Megan Alecci and husband Matt of Washington, Indiana; Carolyn Wiseman and husband Willie of McLeansboro; eight grandchildren, Riley and Reagan Jennings of Fairborn, Ohio; Mason and Raela Milligan of Harrisburg; Shelby Wellen of McLeansboro; Gabriel Kain and Anzley Alecci of Washington, Indiana; and Dillon Glore of McLeansboro; one great-great granddaughter, Emmalynn Johnson of McLeansboro; brother, Robert Hull and spouse, Keith of Carthage, Missouri; special cousin, Paula Bailey; life long friends, Dennis, Terry and Gerry Thaxton; and various other family members and friends.

     In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded by a brother, Larry Lee Hull; sister, Ruth Alexander; grandmother, Gertrude Hurst; and best friend and companion of 20 years, MaryAnne Mayberry.

     Funeral services for Gordon Lee Hull will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Peggy Winters will officiate and burial will follow in Raleigh Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army, American Legion, Sons of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
