Fannie Louise Quertermous

     Fannie Louise Quertermous, age 74 of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:07 PM on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale surrounded by her family.

     Fannie was born on November 25, 1951 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Calvin and Sylvia Quertermous.  She worked as a caregiver, until she no longer could.    

     Fannie is survived by her son, Richard Quertermous and wife, Jennifer of Springfield, Illinois; daughter, Jennifer Brown of Harrisburg; seven grandchildren, Kelsey Hawkins of Harrisburg; Ashley Hall of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; Jonathon Quertermous and wife, Chelsea of Ridgway, Illinois; Jordan Quertermous of Chicago, Illinois; Maddy Gunning and husband, Dustin of Harrisburg, Illinois; Audrey Quertermous of Springfield, Illinois; and Brayden Quertermous of Springfield, Illinois; eight great grandchildren, Carson, Ayleah, Bryce, Braxton, Mia, Gracie, Levi and Sylvi; brother, Steve Quertermous of Harrisburg, Illinois; brother, Gary Quertermous and wife, Joanie of Harrisburg, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. 

     In addition to her parents, Fannie was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Quertermous, sister, Helen Owen; sister, Shirley Sheldon; brother, Dale Quertermous; and brother, Mike Quertermous. 

    No services will be held.
