Evalene Delois (Bebout) Gulley

    Evalene Delois (Bebout) Gulley age 93 of Harrisburg passed away on July 21, 2024, at 1:55 PM at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

    Evalene was born on September 18, 1930, in Pope Country to the late Marion and Floya (Belford) Bebout. On December 21, 1955, she married Denzle “Popcorn” Gulley, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1990. Evalene was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a hard worker. Evalene enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family, whom she loved dearly.

    Evalene is survived by three children, son, Kevin Gulley and wife Lisa of Carrier Mills, daughter, Cathy Cockrum and husband Mark of Galatia, daughter, Nancy Woolard and husband, Keith of Port Charlotte, Florida; eight grandchildren, Anslea Harbison and husband, Kyle of Carrier Mills, Chelsea Lay and husband, Aaron of Harrisburg, Seth Cockrum and wife, Alyssa of Galatia, Sara Nobles and husband, Neal of Sturgis, Kentucky; Hannah Alecci and husband, JohnMark of Mary Esther, Florida; Megan Brown and husband, Lamar of Haines City, Florida; Jamie Dudley and fiancé, Jessica Edwards of Harrisburg, Sherrie Frailey and husband, Richard of Harrisburg; twenty-six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Denzle, Evalene was preceded in death by daughter Beverly Dudley; great grandson, Dawson; eleven siblings, Clarence Bebout, Clifford Bebout, Clyde Bebout, Leonard Bebout, Lendall Bebout, Lacey Bebout, Myrean Winders, Lorene Knakmuhs, Imogene Phelps, Connie Ingle, and Bonnie Galloro.

    Funeral services for Evalene Gulley will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Mark Cockrum and Rev. Ron Reed will officiate with burial to follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Cemetery and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
