     Dennis Dean Maddox, age 74 of Harrisburg, passed away at 7:21 AM, Thursday, November 10, 2022 at his residence.

     Dean was born on February 14, 1948 in Harrisburg to the late James Edgar and Christina Leonidas (Gray) Maddox. He served his country in the United States Army and the United States Merchant Marines.  He was formerly the owner of Maddox Auto Body which was established in 1937. Dean loved his dogs and liked to travel.

     Dean is survived by a brother, Curtis Lee Maddox and wife Lu Ann Walker Maddox of Mitchellsville; niece and nephews, Sarah Alexandra Walker Maddox and Alexander Curtis Walker Maddox of Nashville, Tennessee, and Curtis Glynn Maddox of Eddyville; special people, Maxine, Sheryl, and Darren and their families and many cousins and friends.

     In addition to his parents, Dean was preceded in death by two brothers, James Leonidas Maddox and Gus Gray Maddox.

     A memorial service will be held at a later date.
