Dennis Eugene Clark

     Dennis Eugene Clark, age 75, of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:28 PM, Friday, November 18, 2022 at Herrin Hospital surrounded by his family.

     Dennis was born on June 1, 1947 in Harrisburg, to the late Wendell Fletcher and Eva Ailene (Joiner) Clark.  On August 23, 1986 he married Gayla (Hardin) Joiner.  She preceded him in death on September 16, 2017.  Dennis was a truck driver and worked for Scot Lad, Denny and Simpson Trucking and most recently Eagle Valley Trucking.  He attended the First Baptist Church of Carrier Mills. Dennis was a member of the Teamsters Local # 50.  He enjoyed mowing, woodworking, and watching racing.  Dennis loved his cat, Bob.  He was a life-long Christian and loved to sing at church.

     Dennis is survived by his son, Andy Clark and wife Michelle of Carterville; son, Travis Clark and wife Allison of Marion; daughter, Kim Dunn and husband Scott of Harrisburg; son, Gerrett Joiner and wife Becky of Harrisburg; eleven grandchildren, Maci, Abby, Madison, Cooper, Gavin, Gracie, Genna, Georgie, Ryan, Cade, and Kayli; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry Hardin and wife Karen of Eddyville.     

     Visitation for Dennis Eugene Clark will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Stricklin Funeral Home with funeral services immediately following at 1 PM. Rev. Ryan Beck will officiate and burial will follow in Pierson Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pierson Cemetery and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
