Deborah Lee "Debbie" (Keith) Hathaway

     Deborah Lee “Debbie” Hathaway 60 of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:45 AM, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado.

     Debbie was born on August 26, 1963 in Harrisburg, to the late William “Bud” and Betty Loraine (Edwards) Keith. She was a formerly a florist with Floral Design in Pankeyville but most recently was a homemaker. Debbie attended Palestine Social Brethren Church. Debbie loved flower arranging, the outdoors, talking with people, music, cars, Coca-Cola, cooking, crossword puzzles, and all kinds of brain teasers. She enjoyed talking about her faith. She was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan, and she had a great sense of humor.

     Debbie is survived by four children, Tabby Fisher of Evansville, Indiana, Mikey Cleek and wife Cristin of Omaha; Jake Cleek and wife Tiffany of Harrisburg; and Jeremy Petterson of Connecticut; three grandchildren, Gavin, Evan and Maggie Cleek of Omaha; sister, Eula Pankey of Harrisburg; brother, Brian Keith and wife Barbie of Carrier Mills, sister, April Childers of Harrisburg; brother, Tommy Cossette of Harrisburg; and several nieces and nephews.

     In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Maes, brother, Mike Maes, sister, Patricia Miller, sister, Anita Hester, brother Gene Dale Keith and brother, Dale Jones.

     Funeral services for Deborah Lee “Debbie” Hathaway will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg. Rev. Jerry Wells will officiate and burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery near Carrier Mills. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Stricklin Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the Humane Society of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
