Dean Roger Raymer

     Dean Roger Raymer, age 51, of Harrisburg passed away at 4:20 AM on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.    

     Dean was born on March 14, 1974 in Aurora, Illinois to Roger Tarlton and Alice Allred.  Dean married Misty Richey in 2003.  He was Catholic by faith.  Dean worked for Harrisburg Truss, Southern Truss and Tru-Built as a Truss Builder.  Most recently he worked for Toyota in Lawrenceville.  Dean was destined for greatness but his decisions and the paths that he chose didn’t meet up with his destiny.  He built computers, could build car motors, cb radios, and stereo systems.  Dean loved music.  He was like a tough, rusty old nail that you couldn’t get out of a board.     

     Dean is survived by his three sons, Isaac Bethel and fiancée, Jada Penrod of Harrisburg; Gavin Richey and fiancée, Lindsey Murrow of Harrisburg; and Uriah English of Harrisburg; father, Roger Tarlton of Alton, Illinois; mother, Alice Allred of Myrtle, Mississippi; aunt, Sheila Allred of Mississippi; uncle, Mark Allred and wife, Kathy of Mississippi; aunt, Donna Self and husband, Todd of Mississippi; and eighteen cousins.

     Dean was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Martha (Ayers) Allred; and Wilson and Lois (Patton) Raymer; great grandparents, Robert and Eliza (Hooper) Ayers; uncle, Rick Day and wife Sandy; and uncle, David Tarlton.      

     Services for Dean Roger Raymer will be held at 5 PM, Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.  Pastor B. J. Riley will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 5 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stricklin Funeral Home.
