DeAnson "Dee" Street

     DeAnson “Dee” Street of Harrisburg, Illinois went to be with his Lord on June 15, 2025 surrounded by family.

     Dee was born on July 4, 1944 to Arthur and Minnie (Baity) Street.  He loved his family more than anything and was a big fan of NASCAR, old cars and George Jones music.

     Dee is survived by his wife of almost 61 years, Linda (Duncan) Street; a daughter, Theresa (Jim) Oxford of Harrisburg; grandson, Justin (Rachel) Price of Norris City; granddaughter, Kayla Oxford of Centralia; great-grandchildren, Lacey Price, Christian Horn, Josiah Horn, Kylee Price and Ezra Price; brothers, Harold (Mary) Street of Vienna; and Jim (Marlene) Street of Vienna; Sisters-in-law, Gladys Street of Vienna; and Doris Street of Grantsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

     He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lowell Street, Norman Street, Art Street, and Bob Street; sisters, Shelby Mifflin and Shirley Lockerby; and nephew, Jerry Stafford.

     A Celebration of Life for DeAnson “Dee” Street will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 12 Noon at Stricklin Funeral Home in Harrisburg with Bro. Curt Morris officiating.  Public visitation will be from 10 AM until the service time.  Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to the Spring Valley Cemetery fund and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
