David Pickford Obituary

      David Lee Pickford, age 71, of Harrisburg, passed away at 5:25 PM, April 4, 2025 at Saline Care Center.
      David was born on March 4, 1954 in Harrisburg Illinois to the late Norman and Juanita (King) Pickford.  On May 11, 1974 he married Dianna Parks and she survives in Azie, Texas.  David was baptized at McKinley Avenue Baptist Church.  David worked in the cable television industry since 1984 and retired from Time Warner Cable. He enjoyed music and photography.  He started playing drums at a young age and also played various brass instruments in school bands. In addition to playing music in various school bands, he also played drums in various local bands.  David was also a member of the Harrisburg High School swim team.  David was steadfast in his beliefs and willing to fight for what he believed.  David loved his children and
grandchildren dearly.
      David is survived by his wife, Dianna Pickford of Azle, Texas; son, Sean Pickford and wife Erinn of Carterville Illinois; son, Brandon Pickford of Gilbert Arizona; step-daughter, Kim Olson and husband Tom of Chillicothe, Illinois; four grandchildren, Anna and Kyle Pickford of Carterville Illinois; and Luke and Adam Olson of Chillicothe, Illinois.
      David was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bertis Pickford.
      Graveside services for David Lee Pickford will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, April 10. 2025 at Sunset Hill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate a donation to www.savethemusic.org or another similar charity of your choice.
