Dannie Ray Brasher, age 78, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:15 PM, on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Saline Care Center.
Dannie was born on August 25, 1947 in Nortonville, Kentucky to the late James R. and Ruby (Martin) Brasher. On June 17, 1969 he married Linda Carter and she survives in Harrisburg. Dannie was a Truck Driver hauling heavy equipment for Sheehan Pipeline Company for over 30 years. He attended River of Life United Pentecostal Church in Harrisburg. Dannie loved to work and enjoyed playing music on guitar and sing country and gospel music. He was a member of Teamster Union Local #347. Dannie loved his kids and grandkids.
Dannie is survived by his wife, Linda Brasher of Harrisburg; three children, Robert “Bobby” Deppen and wife, Stephanie of New Orleans; Jason Brasher and wife, Kimberly of Harrisburg; Angie Rone and husband, Shannon of Carrier Mills; eight grandchildren, Kelsie Deppen of New Orleans, Jaycie Hunt and husband, Dakota of Mitchellsville; Savanah Brasher of Harrisburg; Tierra Wiseman and husband, Montana of Harrisburg; Travis Parks and wife, Kristi of Carrier Mills; Max Parks and wife, Tiffany of Carrier Mills; Garrett Hill and wife, Kristin of Lake of Egypt; and Shanna Rone of Carrier Mills; seven great-grandchildren, Waylon Hunt, Wyhatt Hunt, Jacelyn Hunt, Issac Parks, Tinley Parks, Paisley Hill and Lane Parks; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dannie was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Parks; brother, James A. Brasher; sister, Hilda Yarber, and sister, Joann Jones.
Funeral services for Dannie Ray Brasher will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at River of Life United Pentecostal Church in Harrisburg. Rev. Bobby Gentry will officiate and burial will follow in Sunset Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 2 PM, on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at River of Life United Pentecostal Church in Harrisburg.
