Chester Lawrence “Larry” Kukla, age 75 of Galatia passed away at 11:33 PM, Saturday, 21, 2023 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on July 20, 1948 in Harrisburg to the late Chester Frank and Virginia (Brown) Kukla. Larry married Kathy Hall on February 24, 1978 and she preceded him in death on February 5, 2005. Larry served his country in the United States Army and was a retired road commission for Brushy Township. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the Galatia Masonic Lodge #684. He served on the Galatia Village Board for 10 years. Larry was a honest, hardworking, family man. He also enjoyed quail hunting.

Larry is survived by his children, Sarah Kukla of Galatia, and Michael Kukla of Harco; grandchildren, Taryn Mattingly of Harrisburg; Madison Lambert of Galatia; Kylie Lambert of Galatia; and Jarrett Lambert of Galatia; several great grandchildren and many cousins.

Private services for Chester Lawrence “Larry” Kukla will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to his family to help with final expenses. Condolences may be left for his family at www.stricklinfuneralhome.com.
